Champions League - Group H- Wednesday 4 November

Arsenal were simply lucky to be part of a weakest group in Champions League. I am not sure what they were destined to become if they were part of other groups.
Although Arsenal is leading the group on tip, yet it is not clear who will be the first 2 to pass to the second round. Olympiacos are doing well as the second of the group. We have to wait and see what happens tonight

The unstoppable Sevilla is the loud leader of Group G. Today Sevilla host Stuttgart in their home ground. After defeating the Germans in their home town, it seems that Sevilla will move into the next round and be among the 16.
As for the game between Unirea Urziceni against Rangers will basically decide who will follow Sevilla into the last 16.

Champions League - Group F - Wednesday 4 November

Barcelona are heading to the cold Russia tonight where they are hosted by Rubin Kazan, as for Inter Milan, they are traveling to play against Dynamo Kiev.
This is the most uncertain group in Champions league so far, no team has made it clear of a certain position in the list. Although Barcelona is on top still Dynamo and Rubin share the same points as for Inter, they are in the bottom of the list, which is not so good for Mourinho’s boys.
Rubin Kazan defeated Barcelona in Camp Nou, what will happen tonight? We expect to see a very interesting and fast game-play. Let’s see if the Special One will live up to his reputation.

Champions League - Group E-Wednesday 4 November

Liverpool is the spotlight of the night in Champions League football games. Rafa Benitez is under stress and he will experience the worst 90 minutes of his life. Not the best time to pass time in France.
Liverpool lost 6 times in 7 matches, plus the injury of their captain Gerard is not helping much. If Liverpool fail to win tonight, the odds are very low for them move on to the next round. So we have to say it loud and clearly that they must win tonight otherwise Fiorentina and Lyon are the 2 clubs to move forward.

UEFA Champions League - Wednesday 21 October 2009

Many interesting games are up tonight in UEFA Champions League. The talk of the town is Real Madrid versus AC Milan. The two champions will face each other at Santiago Bernabeu. Real Madrid has their new project on the run and their Galacticos are playing sexy and entertaining football as the club’s president has wished for. The Spanish giants are on top of the group C, and they have achieved with very convincing performance unlike their counterparts AC Milan, who have won in “Serie A” a very unconvincing win against Roma.
Real Madrid had a marvelous game against Valladolid last on Sunday. We have seen a great performance by the captain Raul Blanco Gonzales, proving that Real Madrid can win without their hero Cristiano Ronaldo. Real Madrid are favorites for tonight as we have seen great team effort by the Galacticos and not to mention splendid saves by the Spanish captain Iker Casillas.
When it comes to Milan, they will play against their hero Kaka. But Milan has the Brazilian Ronaldinho and the Dutch Huntelaar on their side.
There is one thing for sure about this match, the heat is on! So we should bet high and earn high. Milan are not in their best performance and shape as for Real Madrid, they are not being able to keep their sheet clean, so bet on your intuition tonight!
Another important match is Chelsea versus Atletico Madrid. Chelsea are doing better in so many ways than Atletico. The Spanish team has been performing very poorly. So Chelsea are the better side for the win tonight.

UEFA Champions League Results

UEFA Champions League was full of surprises for most of the groups. A lot of us were expecting different results that the ones that we bet on yesterday. What went wrong?

It seems that Liverpool’s season is looking much worse than they think. Liverpool were incomplete without their Spanish striker Torres, an early exist of the captain Gerrard made things even worst for them both morally and tactically. Although Benitez has tried many times to show the two American owners that the Reds need more strength in their lines. Liverpool has lost also in two premier league games and they face Manchester United over the weekend. Liverpool should be worried about their status as they have been inconsistent for some time now. As for the French team Lyon, they looked very determined to fight for the 3 points and want to pass to the second round of the UEFA games.
As for the rest of Group E, the Italian Fiorentina versus the Hungarian champions Debreceni had a very intense game that ended in favor or Fiorentina 4-3. Therefore, there is a lot of things to watch out of in this group.

What was more surprising in our bets online last night, watching Barcelona FC lose against Rubin Kazan? The Catalans were not in their best form last night, as they lack the French star Thierry Henry in their line ups. But that should not be an excuse for the UEFA 2009 Champions, as they had the entire team on the field at Camp Nou. Valdes has performed very poorly, and the Ballon d’Or nominee Messi as well. As for Group G, Sevilla has performed very solidly for the last games in both La Liga and UEFA Champions League. The dominated the match agaist Stuttgart very well. They are here to stay strong as we are witnessing. As for the Rangers versus Unirea Urziceni, the game has produced many goals and it ended in favor for Unirea Urziceni

In Group H, another surprise was the draw of AZ Alkmaar against the young Arsenal. Nobody was really expecting a draw or a lost there. We were al expecting a win by Arsenal, but the match was a draw.
As for the Greeks Olympiakos Piraeus versus Standard Liege.; the game ended in favor for the Greeks.
