Australian Open 2010 Round One Results

The world Tennis Champion, Roger Federer, did not look like a champion in the first round, as he had a long battle with Igor Andreev in the four sets that he played against him. However, eventually he won and moved to the second round of the matches in Melbourne.

When we say champion in any sport matches, it means that a champion will not how to capitalize the opponent’s mistakes, and that is what made Federer a winner of the first round against Igor Andreeev. He has also done 9 aces and won most of them in his first serves. We have to acknowledge also that Andreev did win fairly well but was not able to benefit from Federer’s mistakes.

Next to Federer, Nadal, Del Porto and Serena also moved to the second round. Nadal suffered a bit on the first round, however he managed to beat Peter Luczak eventually. It is so clear that Nadal wants to win the Australian Open.

Williams Serena also advanced to the next round after winning against Urszula Radwanska from Poland. As for Kim Clijsters, she also won her first round easily against Valerie Tetreault from Canada.

Others who made it in the second round are Andy Roddick, and Justine Henin.
