After the victory against Macedonia,Russia are now on the top of group B leading with 16 points.
The draw between Ireland and Slovakia was bad for both as each one have 14points now, and they are both behind russia!
Irland are in the 12th place in the euro 2012 qualifying league table and Russia are in the 5th.
Both teams lost 1 game and each game was at the home of the team.
Russia won 4 of 7 games, two of them home and two away.
Irland played also 7 games ,but won 5 of them two on their own feild and three away !
Russia began the campaign with one step forward and one step backward as they acheived a victory over Andorra away from home with 2-0 followed by a fail against from Slovakia with 0-1 at home
In the upcoming match Russia have the advantage of the home field but it will be hard battle as the Irish want to get on the top and the Russian want to secure the first place in the group.
A victory for Russia would make them a bigger pourcentage to qualify for the euro 2012 finals and automatically put the Irish in a danger situation!
My own prediction is a victory for Russia with a low score as their previous games at home were minimal victories with 1-0 against Macedonia, and a friendly against Serbia a month ago, so i think it will be in the same level and it will give the same result!
